I'm back from the Estralla war and enjoyed myself a lot. It rained every day but I was dry enough (I was not under any of the occasional boda's in my pavilion roof when a stake pulled out at night. I arrived and set up Wednesday afternoon and because I have a period pavilion the barony put me on the outer rim of our 'lands' next to the battlefield, So I took pictures of the fighting in the morning and helped with some Thursday ballista problems a neighboring Baron had. Dinner was roast pig (entire) and other food at Tina's camp (I was invited by Lady Jo who did not know that Tina had already invited me. On Friday, I delivered some of my mead to a few friends I had not seen in a year and was drafted that afternoon by the bard who translated the lyrics and one tune that I wrote a few years ago into sheet music to be a drumer for belly dancers at a party the Barony of Atenveldt was throwing with the help of a household named  The Morbid Deviants. The Deviants were famous for their parties (parties with a lot of nudity, last year my lady Catryn accepted their oil wrestling challenge and one of the bottles of mead I delivered was to them on Friday morning). This year they were being helped (co-opted) by the Baron since their usual kind of party is now banned. (Don't let reports of wild parties in a public place get out with names on them). So  Spellsinger tutored me for a bit and I drummed for the dancers until some of the real drummers arrived. I got to know one of the Deviant's dancers named Lily and  walked her back to their camp. Saturday, Lily came over for massage and we walked around a bit before I had to return to cook the stew. For nine years Her grace Camellia and I have cooked 30+ gallons stew every war for anyone who comes to our camp, We also provide paper plates and forks so no-one needs to do dishes. This year for the first time the stew was to be served on Saturday and in the Barony camp not out own houshold Staghold. The stew was very well received and I took some pictures of the Bardic for Spellsinger (in purple) while I was again escorting Lily (the dancer that night). Sunday Lily and I visited other camps during the day climbed the mountain for pictures with the camp as a background and  went to the parties at Dread Thunder (where I talked to people who i had not seen in a year and at the Deviants that night. In any case Lily is the lady being the background on this blog and I hope we can meet again    .
